Fitting Greddy Type S to TMIC

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys

My EP82 came with the stock recirculation DV so I haven't really got a clue of what I need to fit my new Greddy Type S:

I think it has the relevant hard pipe attachment for an FMIC?

Not really sure which way it would fit in here..

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

As Socks said, you block the EFI pipe off, just attach the bottom of the DV to the biggest pipe going to the intercooler, connect the vacuum up and get a breather filter for the rocker cover, or catch can

Sorry I just found this more up to date picture!

EFi pipe is long gone and I have a breather filter for the rocker cover ;)

So the hard pipe attachment works for TMIC hotpipe too?

Which pipe does the blue vacuum hose attach to on the BOV? The straight pipe one or the angled pipe?

The black vacuum hose next to the blue one is currently unblocked, do I leave that alone?

Thanks for the replies!

Ahhh yea sorry dude, the blue vacuum hose goes to the top, straight pipe on the BOV and just block the one of that went to the EFI pipe ;)

You can do away with all the boost solenoid and those three pipes when you go to a HKS actuator (if you havent got one already)

Sweeet nice one! What about the angled pipe on the BOV? is that where the air comes out or something?

Yeah I have got a HKS actuator, fitted it ages ago so can't remember what pipe went where lol

You'll have to show me what to bin when your/my car is on the road!

dont worry about the angled vac port just leave it unconnected.

i believe its supposed to connect upto your wastegate or turbo somehow.... creating a small air pocket for the lower chamber to seat on creating a greater pressure in the top chamber increasing its response time when you lift off throttle.
