Tommy_G Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 well the guy before me lost the removal key!!!!anyway of getting me sony cdx headunit out? Quote
GT_Neil Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Take it to halfords, they remove for free. Quote
Mart Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Is it the one with the four pins holes you have on your headunit bro? Quote
scutch0 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 no, it'll be two slots. just two butter knives will do the job, slot them in at the top of the sides and angle them downwards as you push them in. that should do the trick, other than that, as said try halfords. Quote
Sparky Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Yea all i had to do was get the center console piece off and undo a few screws.... no cage for me Quote
scutch0 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 yeah, i know. i have seen a few cowboy attempts at having a cage fitted in instead. Quote
Tommy_G Posted January 23, 2007 Author Posted January 23, 2007 so what i cant just slide it out....i think butter knives will be to big! slots are only like 1mm in height and 6mm wide Quote
Idrees Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Our SR has a cage in there! Thats probs because we have 2 headunits, also the centre console is modified for them too.. Quote
GT_Neil Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 my HU was bolted in as said, easy to remove. if you need keys though, either do as scutch said or just take to halfords. It is free afterall. lol Quote
Mart Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 If your really stuck, you can buy the removal clips anywhere bro for a couple of Euro. Usually you'd even get a pair with the new headunit. Quote
starletno1fan Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 mine is bolted in too so dont even need to use the keys Quote
