Dean @RW-Developments
ok another stupid problem with this gay car, first it was getting hard to get in gear and tbh the clutch release bearing is really loud when standing still then you put the clutch down you carnt hear it etc.so last night it decided to rattle like mad whilst driving which is odd but now the car refusses to go in any gear unless the car is turned off (its fine). now ive tried all the tricks double clutching etc but to get it home i was having to turn it off then select a gear lol so im going to rip the gearbox off on friday hopefullynow this is the question i hope?? could it be the clutch release bearing being so its been rattling it tits off for months, or have i smashed another clutch because i had similar issues about 3 months ago when i smashed my trd clutch. by the way ive checked the master cylinder and fluid etc i really cant afford a new clutch again atm. any help cheers Dean

raffa_mk
Gearbox by sounds of it, happened to me too
whiteglanzav
if its like a whining noise and its happened with 2 clutches it could be the gearbox bearings - the rattling could also be the clutch springs a lad on tgt has just had a similar problem with a brand new uprated clutch - the release bearing - although it can be noisy doesnt generally cause the car to stop selecting gears unless it collapses
5T4R7ET N/A
have you checked your slave cylinder?it is pulling the release leaver all the way back?
madmax_926
what clutch you using my clutch is blitz active and this has a really loud rattle when you put foot on clutch, the release bearing is meant to be like this, my gearbox is extremely stiff since fitting this and something is definately wrong, i took myn back to the garage today where it was fitted to see what they can do? as no one has a clue about this. Dean @RW-Developments
when i put this clutch in i fitted my mint spare gt gearbox but didnt change the release bearing the clutch in it atm is just a standard used clutch i had, but tbh i have ran this with a td04 lol, what im thinking is if i can smash a trd clutch then the standard used 1 isnt really going to like me. im pretty sure its the clutch being so when you try to stop in gear and dip the clutch it carrys on hurdling forwards. anyways ive got a new clutch release bearing, and im hopefully getting the trd clutch fixed so i can get the box off Friday and re fit Saturday ready for the night time action lol ill let you know what it is in a couple of days cheers Dean
