honda engines, who knows a bit?

Recommended Posts

thought id put this in this area as its not to do with starbos smile.gif can be moved if the mods wish.

ive been looking at civics and tegs this week, came across a civic ep3 today thats had a bit of an engine re build.

it has a k20 head (stock from a ep3 yes?) and a k24 block from an accord type r.

the bloke selling it says with a map it should push 250 brake. does this sound realistic?

and yeah i have posted on civic life to ask there lol

any help much appreciated

the bloke whos selling it swapped his starbo for it, but doesnt like the vtec and wants a turbo again. im pretty sure you could pull more out of it than 250 as well tbh. looked on some peoples specs on civic life and there not shy at all

everyone comes back at some point, you just cant compare a turbo to n/a, imagine all the money spent on the k24 head etc, bigger cams, intake etc and then translate that into a turbo kit, far more than 250bhp

just my opinion though

but if i were to go on the honda forum and say the same thing i would get turbos shit and vtecs win lol

Thats why they all want to turbo there hondas :) haha

To be fair id have a Honda turbo over a starlet any day, Vtec turbo is awsome !

Only insurance stopping me to be honest.

And remember kids, you can turbo a Vtec, but you cant Vtec a turbo !
