TD04- Check this out

Noticed this on the weekend on my TD04

The nipple where the vacuum feed attaches to the compressor housing is completely fucked, what can I do???

Just get the vacuum from off the intercooler pipe that come straight off the turbo mate.

Thats how mine is and its fine.

Mines actually in the silicone hose that joins turbo to intercooler pipe, got a kit from a local company.

Can get you one dude if you cant sort it.

you punch a small hole in the silicone mate, fit the nipple through, and use the washer and nut to tighten it up, so simple and works so well

Ahhh i see yes I was thinking about the stainless elbow but yea sounds simple, fucking expensive though! Might see if theres anything similar in my local motor factors

Just run your vacuum off your inlet mani.Thats how mines is and its fine.

So the vacuum from the AVCR to the inlet mani? I thought the shorter the route the better spool though?

on my td04 the nipple take off is threaded. like on the blitz dd dumpers. dunno if its same but presume you could unscrew one and pop another in.

dont take it from the inlet that is a negative preasure zone and you dont get vaccume at that nipple on the turbo it is always possitive. they do just unsrew mate. good look

Leave it as it is pal, dab of weld on it. just tap a hole in the intercooler end tank and thread a fitting in, cost you less then £1 providing you allready have access to drill and thread taps !

Acurate reading of the cooled air, on the turbo there is fine obviously otherwise subaru wouldnt put it there.

Just looks better and if you put it on the outer edge of the cooler (on the side so to speak) gives a mroe acurate reading (from what ive heard/read)

Probs easiest way and will get adequite reading anyway ! I just like to do things differantly haha

agree with driver. you could get another nipple from a scrappy mate any turbo will have one derv or petrol

i have a vf23 at home that is spares i am sure they are the same as the td04 so if you want al take it out and send you it
