The Toffinator
My standard exhaust where it mates to the backbox is starting to leak slightly, i want to replace the catback section but am just wondering do i go for a 2inch pipework over the standard? Thanks
The Toffinator
Ha knew you would say that;) did you notice any loss of power with it dude? top end or bottom end etc
BigMan
2inch is best for n/a!i got quoted 400 - 450 for a custom exhaust but thats due to 4wd, would say get yourself a nice 2inch straight through system would be lovely.
The Toffinator
Thanks lads will have to get it then:) and bigman it currently has a nice janspeed backbox so the standard exhaust goes up to 2inch to fit it, so i will get a 2inch midsection so its then a 2inch catback. The Toffinator
Yeh they will definetely be able to join it, but i dont know if my backbox would look good on an angle:/
Sparky
I had a 2" cat back with no silencer apart from back box and sounded AMAZING
wssoR
I had a 2.5inch system on my first n/a, people say that's too much, however.. We all know starletsportif has the 90bhp n/a, well mine was only running the catback and filter (standard mani, his has a rolla mani) and his was only fractionally quicker. It's all chineese wispers with the optimal size for the exhaust system on n/a's. Obviously going excessively large is silly but you get my drift.
The Toffinator
Yeh i know dude, dont think we will know until someone tests them properly on a dyno. and what do you lot think of my exhaust on an angle, yay or nay?
