Making it an Ext. Wastegate Setup Cheapo Stylie

Right Ive Decided im not going to pay out YET ANOTHER £600+ for a new manifold an Ext Wastegate

So im kinda thinking im going to make my Toyosports Manifold into an externally Gated Mani.

Really How Hard Can it be? BanG a hole cutter in the mani and weld a tube into it with a 38mm Flange on the end.

Using this you could effectively turn a Normal Mani into Ext. Gated Mani For under £100 Rather Than the £600 for a newen.

its simple if u no what your doing but i belief u can make the mani weaker if u cut wrong place

If its braced and you KNOW how to Weld properly ... making it weaker is impossible imo

Neal gt's motor that the pp boys broke in tgere section had a speedvision mani modded tobexternal gate. Go ceck it out if youbwant some ideas. I nearly did it with my last mani but then decided not to, and shelled out for a whole new mani and decat anyway.

i thought i read somewhere that it has to be at a certain angle on the runner to help flow the gases etc , same as ollie that wastegate looks shit and i dont get where the £600 is from i just brought the following..

wepr td04 mani and externally gate

decat

screamer pipe

fmic turbo pipe

gaskets

and silicone joiners couplers for £455

so a mani n decat from him are like £300 delivered

so your toyosports mani kit £190 shitty wastegate £70 thats £260 so extra £40 gives you a decent kit
