cazzac2222
Really looking for some help and ideas on how to get the driveshaft out of the hub as mine is really pissing me off now!!!ive taken exerything off that holds the driveshaft into the hub, the split pin, the nut cap and the 30mm nut and ive tried eveything and she still wont budge!!Ive heated it up with the blow tourch and smashed the hell out of it and still not budged one bit!!Is there anything stoping it from poping out, like a circlip on the back of the hub or what because the passengers side poped out nicely with hardly no effort at all :Smy last ressort is to take the driveshaft and hub out of the gearbox and go get the bitch pressed out.So does anyone have any ideas on how to get the bad boy out hahahCheers lads, Zac

cazzac2222
Right well yesterday i won the battle of the killer seized driveshaft hahah shes finially come out but in doing this i destroyed the outer C.V :/So yeah liam i am strong enough!!! I is well hard isn't it hahahahaSo the question i am now asking is, is the outer c.v's for the 98 spec glanza's the 23/30 tooth ones and also does the below link come with the abs ring, if not, what do you do to get the other off and on your new c.v??http://www.tm-developments.com/index.php?m...products_id=252Cheers lads, Zac
tez
can anyone explain the difference between the 23/30 and 23/23?what does it mean?
cazzac2222
i think its simply the amount of teeth that are on the driveshaft itseft that goes into the c.v and the amount of teeth on the shaft that goes into the hub mate.ive just had a quick count and it seems that there are 23 teeth on the shaft that goes in the hub and 30 teeth in the c.v that meets with the driveshaft.Sooo im guessing i need the 23/30 c.v, but i just want to make sure??? ;)
tez
doesnt make sense to mehow can a 23 tooth shaft go into a 30 tooth hub? or is it 30teeth on the abs ring?
cazzac2222
No mate i think all the hubs have 23 teeth same as the shaft on the out c.v joint, although its the teeth on the driveshaft that there are two kinds of, the 23 teeth or the 30 teethCorrect me if im wrong someone please
tez
surely if the hub is 23 teeth the shaft would have to be 23? to fit correctly?so your sayingall hubs are 23 teethand shafts are either 30 or 23So surely this would make this irrevently when ordering a CV as they would both fit?i cannot get the jist of this, Maybe im having a bad day. tez
ahh just realised the the shafts on these are different to my usual ones.So its shaft which goes into a CV joint then a spline on the end of of the abs ring end?comprende!Ive been told by toyota most newer glanzas are 23/30mm unless they have been changed(shafts)
cazzac2222
Yep you got it matey, and yeah i need to order a 23/30 c.v joint ;)
