tez Posted May 16, 2011 Share Posted May 16, 2011 helloim scrapping my old shell(not a starlet)and ive got a scrapyard local to collect for free.(its bare) Now the new new logbooks dont have anything on them to say scrapping.SHould i give the logbook to them?should i get something off them to prove they had it off me? or do i sign the logbook over to them and send to dvla? like a normal car transaction?? I dont want a letter in a few months time saying " heres your fine MR ..."What i can see from the dvla sitea certified scrapyard comes and they take shell, and give you reciept saying it has now been scrapped( get this or you will be screwed)they take the logbook too apparently? hmmThe old logbook situation was alot better, where they give you a reciept and you send the logbook off saying scrapped.
