Taggy
I have always had a problem with my starlet that when i pull off initially the car will judder excessively, almost like a drive shaft is shaking around vilontly, its the same when i downshift when slowing down to a stop, say from 2nd to 1st. It only does it when you are driving gently, not when you rev it (like the driveshafts are not under tension)If i rev the car more than usual when pulling away the shaking vanishes, it only seems to happen if i try to pull off with the revs you would normally slowly pull off with. What part of my driveshaft is fucked to be causing this, or is it somthing else, all the bushes and track rod ends are fine and the lower arms are not loose either before you ask While my car is up on the ramps being fixed i want to sort this anoying problem out too. Taggy
Its a brand new clutch and also a whole new engine, its doing it on this one and the old one too, so it cant be anything engine related as i have had two whole units put in with the same problem. It must be somthing to do with the driveshafts i think, its the only moving part!sounds like clutch plate judder mate might be contaminated try burning bit off it see if cures it i did it with mates 207 n eased it but depends how bad it is not advisable if really bad if not could be flywheel out of balance does it do it when u put revs on when stationary????ste
