Russleh
you can get a non pas rack from a starlet without the powersteering but im not sure which model that would be. or you could just take everything off and block off the holes in the other rack i think. i havent done it but i have read a thread before on here somewhere. ill be taking mine off my next car aswell so ill need to know for sure Russell
Idrees
Remove the pump and the pipes, fit a non power steering rack. If you're not going to change to a non P/S rack then don't bother, I tried that on my car and it drove absolutely awful.

mrkd5916
you cant just change the rack as the steering column will be too short, you will have to find a starlet with non pas, and take the steering column out change the center of the columns over ( held in by a c clip at the top) as the non pas column is longer,
Torturedglitch
ahh right dont think ill bother just yet then starting to sound like a big job lol
mrkd5916
its not to bad to do it just finding the parts
Russleh
just go for it if you were willing to take off the steering rack then a bit of the column isnt much extra. Russell
