nick gt turbo
hi, ive decated my starlet the other day. i did it the cheap way, just gutted the inside of the standard one out. its made a big difference but i thaut it wud fuel cut straight away, but it isnt? is this because ive still got the standard exhaust on so its still being restricted?also i think that 1995 models and earlier dont need a cat for an mot because they werent made here or summin? does neone know bout this? dont wanna have to buy a new one for mot?nick

paul w
No worries,i wouldn't worry about it anyway, since they would look under your car and still see a "cat" in place.
Glanza_Ragger
neither the gt turbo, or glanza v need a catalyst for mot. seeing as there is no uk equivalant they cant do the test on a cat. it comes under standard idle emissions mate.so unless your running crazy fuel pressure. it will pass which is nice
GeeUK
Pre 92 cars dont need a CAT.It not that a Glanza does not need a CAT, its that it does not go through a CAT test, just the standard test. Which the car should easily pass on unless it knackered, CAT or no CAT.There is a standard test ALL cars go through, then a CAT test which is unique to the car, but because there is no UK equivalant of the Glanza, it only gets the default test, which as above it should pass no probs. Glanza_Ragger
dejavu gee ;) id have said, you need UBER problems for it to fail on emissions with either gt or glanza mate. and if they say you dont have a catalyst fitted, bend him over and rape him..
