Starlet__SR
Do a compression test, if it was gonna do any damage it would do it already. If you're that worried, have the gasket replaced for good measure, maybe go for an athena incase you decide to chase more power.D
Blitz
it didnt even go into the red it was jut off it then i turned it off opened the bonnet and there was the overheated smell let it cool down and its been fine its an expensive job isnt it to change the head gasket? Might be worth changing the coolant as it will have lost its properties if overheated. And wouldnt know lol, I do all work myself. D

Starlet__SR
Best way matey, no greater feeling than doing something you'd pay someone else to do, plus like nazzuro states, you save loads of money, and arm yourself with very handy know how and experienceD
Starlet__SR
Just out of curiousity, is it definitely the fan not working? Zoe's gt acted up a while back, ended up being a stuck thermostat, make sure the temp sender is working aswell, start the car and remove the plug, if the fan kicks in, its working.D
