I take it you've been told that would work ok then? What makes that doubly bad is the JDM ecu will be mapped for higher octane fuel so will be running more ignition advance. If you were to run than much ignition advance on 95ron fuel you'll probably do a fair bit of damage, couple that with a lean mixture and you can kiss goodby to your pistons.

Its not just about horsepower guys, its how the rest of your cars system goes too.

Agreed, peak hp is useless if it's not there throughout the rest of the rev range too, which is where an aftermarket ecu or piggyback comes into it.
