Glanza Mac Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 parked my glazna on my drive and it was all fine and dandy about half hour later i went to reverse from my drive, put the clutch down and a horrible squeeling/scraping sounds appeared so i came of the clutch pedal and the noise went away :Sput the car in reverse pretty quickly and reversed and drove up my street, the car moves fine but it only makes that noise when the clutch is being pressed down.anyone know what this could be?ive heard its a release bearing thats failed and also the flywheel/crank bearing that has failed? james@cjperformance Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Sit in thd car with it on idle and in neutral. is the noise present? If yes push the clutch pedal down. does the noise go away of yes the im 99% sure its the release bearing Quote
Stui White Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I had the same noise in my first ever car (106) and i drove that for 5/6 months fine.Obviously get a new clutch kit with all new bearings and fit it to get rid of the noise. Quote
