Clutch sounding like metal on metal!

Recommended Posts

parked my glazna on my drive and it was all fine and dandy :)

about half hour later i went to reverse from my drive, put the clutch down and a horrible squeeling/scraping sounds appeared so i came of the clutch pedal and the noise went away :S

put the car in reverse pretty quickly and reversed and drove up my street, the car moves fine but it only makes that noise when the clutch is being pressed down.

anyone know what this could be?

ive heard its a release bearing thats failed and also the flywheel/crank bearing that has failed?
