There is a guy in Scotland who can sort you out mate and comes highly recommended and maps emanages.

Wait til one of the Scottish lads read this and they'll tell you more.

You'll be totally sorted bro.

^^^ As Joz said, my mate Paul can fit and map your Emanage for you. We're based in east ayrshire too so quite close (5min from kilmarnock) Give him an email if your interested:

gt4cs@yahoo.co.uk

He's done a bunch of starlets in the last few months, all have given him a good feedback, so you can be rest assured mate, it'll be done ok!

fitting and mapping on the road

what do you mean by on the road ??

£140 ?? that sound too good to be true ?

i thought it was going to be more than that

also i will be getting a Blitz Dual SBD Type S boost controller

i was wondering is this a diy job or is it best left to the pros ?

cheers for all the info

greatly appreciated

Yep mapped on the road -- which is probably the best option as you get real life loads on the engine as your mapping. You could prob do the boost controller DIY with a tutorial, but I'm sure if you said to Paul he could do it to.

some people will map on the road, for "real world" figures.

so your not in a stuffy rolling road room, with a huge fan blowing more nice warm air across it :p

you would probably get more of an aggressive map being on the road.

the tuner will hook his laptop and air/fuel reading equipment up to your car, then map on the road.

with either you driving in each specified gear , and at the required speeds.

obviously slightly illegal speeds needed...

then most mappers will put it on the rollers for a power graph where they can see the maximum output..

cant go ripping top speed up the road can we :p

the boost controller is simple if you have a clue what your doing..

if not then leave it to a pro, it will be a 15 minute job for him whilst hes wiring/mapping the car.

Yeah, Luckily we've got a good strech of road close by which he can use to map your car, between two roundabouts, one direction uphill the other down (obviously :p )

Paul will sit with the laptop mapping and tell you to sit at various throttle positions in various gears. The good thing is that he's got a few base maps from mapping other starlets so once it's fitted it shouldn't take too long to fine tune to your modifications.

And yeah, he can do it at the weekends no probs, he works shifts, so maybe some weekends he won't be able to but I'm sure you can work something out.
