Recommended Posts

hi

i have bumping noise coming from LHR shockie .

mechanic advises the noise location is visible when looking @ the top mount from inside the car

he is reluctant to dismantle without some parts

do i get top mounts & a pr of shockies & do both sides when he pulls LHS apart

please give me your opinions on what i should buy to replace KYB shockies & std mounts using Kings springs

what is currently available ??

your suggestions please

thanks lyle

Just by any chance is the nut not wound down fully to secure the collet in the top mount? Are the two top mount nuts tightened up properly? You need to find the source of the problem first and be sure of it before throwing money at it. Neither of the above components are cheap especially if its a case of something not being tight.

Kyb excel g gas shocks are great with tein s tech springs. Might be worth opting for a set of coilovers?
