_shaun_ Posted November 16, 2011 Share Posted November 16, 2011 my gearbox been having issues going into 2nd. so gonna swap it prob once my xmas bonus comes is it worth getting a second hand 1? is there anything u can check if its not on the car already or is it just a case of take there word for it. unsure if to source a 2nd hand 5 or 6 speed or just save up bit longer and get 1 rebuild so i no its gonna be bang on.cheers shaun Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Starlet__SR Posted November 16, 2011 Share Posted November 16, 2011 Might just be worth dropping in some different oil and maybe an additive whilst saving for a rebuild, until you've got it in a car and running power through it you've no way of checking, you're just taking the guys word for it.
