DevonGT
I thought the settings would've come with the bolts? But try this - http://arpinstructions.com/?src=arp-bolts
Idrees
From memory it's 3 stages; 20, 40 and 60ft/lb. Definitely double check though, and as mentioned there should be a paper included in the box.Edit - just checked, and yes it is 3 stages to 60ft/lb.

Idrees
What specs did you torque them up to?
rinseep82
22nm then 44nm but after a did it to 22 and then worked up to 44 it felt like it wasn't getting any tighter then click snapped??
Idrees
Were the heatbolts brand new? They should be torque'd to 44 in two stages as you mentioned, then a 90 degree turn iirc.
rinseep82
Yea mate they were new dunno y it happend just sempt like it wasn't getting any tighter so torque them to 60ft/lb then a 90 degree turn
shorty
I know its old but update so ots acurate for searched info.Is no 90° turn just three equal stages upto 60ft/lb. if you want to be mega anal then recheck tourque afyer 10 heat cycles. i.e warm up-cool down is 1 cycle. Idrees
90 degrees is only for OEM headbolts, not ARPs
shorty
Lol cheers for reiterating iddy ;) is missunderstood by many unfortunatley.
rinseep82
The 90 degree is after you have reached the desired tourqe after you have reached the top tourqe level you put a degree wheel on your wrench and give them all a 90 degree turn
shorty
Except on ARP!!! No90° turn dude just stop at 60ft/lb. Like i say can recheck torque after 10cycles if you wish. but no 90° degree turn is used with an arp bolt/stud set!
rinseep82
yea mate i forgot to mention the oem part in my last post iev tourqued my head down with arp bolts to 60ftl/bs and all is well went like a dream
