I want to remove the limiter on my 5e ecu

Is it the same as doing it to the 4efe ecu by changing the crystal inside?

That's what i read on either tercelonline or austarlet

Can you post a link to the 'crystal' changing? Haven't heard of this before.

To be honest (and I'm not nit picking) I'm not sure why you would want to remove the limiter - they make less power at red line not more, usually peak power and torque is lower down. If you've modified your engine so need the revs then really an aftermarket ecu should be on the cards as the stock tune is more than likely not up to the task.

The 5e does run out of power towards the red line. Think thats more to do with the super long inlet to give you more torque. Fitting an fte inlet should see better gains at top end of the rev range. if you do remove the limiter make sure your bottom end isup to it lol

Well I'm running bike throttle bodies with a 4-1 exhaust manifold and full straight through system

Best bet if you want propper management is go for a standalone that has alfa-n so the load is tunned of the tps sensor rather than map or you could use a combination of the two. Most good standalones will do that.

the crystal change messes up the fueling of the engine, if you do the mod its best to get the afr`s checked.....
