what is this sensor?

hi guys, can anyone shed any light on what this sensor is?

the brown sensor at the bottom? as it appears to have had one of the pipes broken off and bodged back on with superglue!

if its important, whats the part number or does anyone have a spare they can sell me?

I could be wrong but is that not the idle control valve?

surely the icv is attached to the other end of the inlet mani? (actually bolted in)

any other ideas?

The idle control valve is bolted on the far left hand side of the inlet manifold matey.

The sensor in the top first one baffles me too.

Mine clicks, so i unplgged it it and the car runs perfect but with no clicking ;)

so ive left it unplugged. runs fine.

its definatelty NOT the idle control, and its deifnately NOT the map sensor.

it baffles me after owning the v for 2 years lol
