Fogdoggydog
I may be just making things up here, but I'd say the situation with job/immigrants is the same down in The Republic of Ireland. So far it doesn't seem as bad up in Northern Ireland, yet.http://www.loadzajobs.co.uk/andhttp://jobs.ie/will hopefully help you judge the job markets either side of the border. Nanglebadger
yeah i would be agreein with Foggy Jim mate. walk through dubin and u see a lot of foreign people. walk thro belfast and u have to look to find so much as a handful of immigrant people, there really are not that many relativley speaking, and most of the ones u do see are sellin news papers and Big Issues, its not really as if they're gettin the good jobs tbh, its the lowest charity jobs that local people wouldnt do. remember there are two seperate countries here, dont get them confused, they are very different with different economies, perhaps the republic is more inviting to foreign people than up north, not really sure but Foggy's right there is a distinct difference.house prices here...oh dear Heavens, its a total nightmare! buy a tent, its the sensible option! house prices are stupid here. as for down south i have no cluePhil. Galliano
just spotted this topic, so sorry for the bump, but jim mate, anywhere down in the southwest (countryside ish area) like taunton, or barnstable or even devon, dont really have many immigrants or asylam seekers around here (only the rough area)the jobs side of things, it isnt that bad down here, and just for advertisement, where my mum works in homebase, have recently had alot of people leaving.. i mean... no advertising or nout!! this way, just moving to a less densly populated part fo the country it becomes better... and not stuck in the midlands
