m11xky
I am aware that the uprated ECUs like JAM, MINES etc all remove the above limits but my glanza has a standard ECU and the higher rev limit and removed speed limit anyway!Does that mean i have a SLD installed somewhere, and something that raises rev limit?!If so where would i find them in the car....could it have been someone editing the map on the standard ECU?appreciate some help Mike
Whitegv
You can't change the map on a stock ecu so there must be something somewhere
m11xky
Ok, cool. where would I find them wired in?Mike
micky boy
Whats it reving to? and is your car reading in mph? if so it will have a gearbox converter and that take's the speed limiter off Edited May 15, 2012 by micky boy
m11xky
It is reading MPH so that explains that, thanks. Not exactly sure what its revving too, not a fan of reaching limiter without an uprated exhaust system....sounds gay lolI will check tonight.....
zebedee
There is not always any marks on the ecu to show it has been mapped buddy take it out and whip the lid off see if it has a daughter board in it you might have a mapped ecu.
m11xky
Its revs to about 7500-8000k..... What is stock? 7000k?Mike
Whitegv
Mine used to get to near enough 8k on stock ecu
Chand
Yeah sounds about right on a stock ecu around 7.5k rpm
Lawless
Mine revs to 7000 reading in mph but will only hit 112 mph max
A L 3 X
Turn up your boost then try boot it loo, you will soon find out.On a serious not I wouldn't recommend this, partly because it's not good for your engine and partly because fuel cut is an unpleasant shock when you hit it lol
m11xky
lol ok. need a boost gauge and adjustable actuator at some point as im running standard boost atm....would like a jam ecu or similar but may have to go down the crude cheap route! Mike
zebedee
Mine revs to 7000 reading in mph but will only hit 112 mph maxAll depends on how they were converted to MPH. If they are done with a speedo convertor on the gearbox then this removes the speed cut to if the speedo goes up 180 it will have a convertor, if it was done by a MPH dial being fitted to the speed clocks (cheap ass way to do things) they will only rear up to 110 ish and you will seed hit speed cut.
