P44YNE
Anybody know what size is possible to fit under there, think they are 10cm as standard but they sound terrible. I've recently stripped all the rear interior out which means that the back speakers and sub have gone and also road/exhaust noise has increased. Any comments appreciated as usual
F3rAL
Yes the size is 10 cm, but I don't think you will be able to put anything in there that will sound decent, I have my alpines for sale because I put some 6inchers in the doors
P44YNE
Maybe I will have to get some door pods made up then :/ Quick tinterweb research of the best sort of sound to be expected from some 10cms will help me decide...Thanks mate
F3rAL
No probs but you know, size matters 10cm you can not move a lot of air with that
morgey
theres 3 problems with the under dash speakers1 the size2 the way there facing3 theres nothing forcing the sound out, if anything the grate/grill is stopping the sound and forcing it behind the dash.the speakers need to be enclosed from behind to force the sound/air out and also help the bass abit i just had a friend cup the back of one of mine and it made a noticable difference. think of almost any speakers, there almost always enclosed, usually with a port aswel facing forwards aswel. ;) Edited May 15, 2012 by morgey
