Bean Posted May 16, 2012 Share Posted May 16, 2012 its the drag racing again this weekend on kirkbride airfield in cumbria. i hope all you guys posting in the thread below will be making an appearance. i will be there in my 4wd ep85heres the info ive copiedStraightliners are back in Cumbria and all car and bike enthusiasts have a chance to take part in a Quarter Mile Drag Racing Day on our doorstep, spectators are welcome.Straightliners Drag Strip DaySaturday, 19th May 2012 - Sunday, 20th MayKirkbride AirfieldWigtonCumbriaCA7 5LFStarts 8am - 5pm both daysThis is a full drag strip with all the usual equipment and time slips which will be given out after each run so you know your best time of the day.Anyone is welcome to take part whether your vehicle is road legal or otherwise.For those wanting to take part it's around £40 for unlimited runs (this includes insurance) all you need is your driving license and a crash helmet.Around £5 entry for spectators.The price for this year has not yet been confirmed.No need to book in advance just turn up on the day, the sooner you get there the more runs you get in.Catering vans will be there all day.
