Louis
Looks like my car knows its going soon as its giving me problems Its been happening for ages now, car runs completely fine as it should but come to it when it hasn't been run in about 2hrs + mornings and it takes about 5 full seconds of cranking.Managed to diagnose it as the fuel pump not primping on second ignition and when its cranking the pump works just takes the 5 secs to pressurize the rail, fuse and efi relay are all okay.Am i looking at a new pump? Mk3 silver gt
Hi I have the same problem, did u find out what it was the end? Edited March 4, 2013 by Mk3 silver gt
Flaminsam
The fuel pumps do not prime on the second ignition. They only start to pump fuel once the starter motor is engaged. This is the same for gt and glanza models. Chances are your fuel pressure reg is not seating properly inside allowing the pressure to flow back to the tank in the return line.
