Starbuck
I wish to change the PS hoses to coloured ones. Anything I should look out for or just take them off and put them on?
james@cjperformance
drain it first and just swap them over I would advise new clips allround though
Starbuck
Next question, how do I drain it? LOL Just pull hoses off and drain into pot, reattach new ones and refill? Also can it be reused?
james@cjperformance
personally id drain it from the rack as you will get it all out and I wouldn't re use it either
Lukew360
I pulled my hose off and had a pot ready to catch the fluid quick, re-used my fluid to with no problems ;)
Starbuck
So what hoses can be changed with minimal fuss? As in pull off and put on.
StuDoc 72
I didnt even drain mine i managed to chage the powersteering ones without losing much at all. The water ones you will have to drain the system. And the ones at the back of the engine if like mine have never been off before are a fucking nightmare. Also you need to remove the starter motor to do the short dumpy water one. Although its only 2 bolts. To answer your question the only 1s that are minimal fuss are the 1or2 if you have a gt for the brake servo. The rest require the draining of fluid and stuff. Starbuck
So the brake servo ones on the back can be whipped off without anything coming out?

Bluebear
Is it the powersteering pipes that need to have that special lining on the inside of them?
StuDoc 72
All pipes that carry fluid should have a special ply on them
james@cjperformance
All pipes that carry fluid should have a special ply on themOnly ones that carry oil need specila linings on. Our hoses have the lining on all of them though
