Socks Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 your telling me you going to run more then 3bar of boost :s?
yaristurbo Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 (edited) No 1 bar is natural pressure above sea level which takes up that pressure form the sensors rangeSo going above 2 bar is tricky with a 3 bar sensorIs what has been explained to me Edited August 16, 2012 by yaristurbo
yaristurbo Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Im sure someone will confirm or disagree
Starlet Wayne Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Im sure someone will confirm or disagreeI thought 3 bar would be plenty tbh, same as socks.
yaristurbo Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 (edited) After doing some sums I've come up with the same as socks????? Why would my engine builder recommend more?As natural pressure is not a bar Edited August 16, 2012 by yaristurbo
Socks Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Race-Tech do a 4bar map sensor...How much boost u planning on running?
yaristurbo Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 (edited) Just looked for a reading and barometric pressure has reached 1011milbar just over a bar today so this could be the reason Edited August 16, 2012 by yaristurbo
morgey Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Technically yes atmosphere is a bar but most sensors for cars will be set to read 0 at atmosphere as its neutral and works as a standard to go by so 3 bar would be fine upto 44ish psi which usually more than enough
yaristurbo Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Will go mapping with my 3 bar and let you know if I need a 4 cheers team
Socks Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Will go mapping with my 3 bar and let you know if I need a 4 cheers teamull need to completely re-scale the entire map if u do that, so best to start with the 4bar... but tbh id be very suprised if u need to run over 2bar of boost. i would think on pump fuel ull find a wall with another componant!
yaristurbo Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Will see mapper stocks them so only time will tell wont itWhat's happening with yours next
