Fitting Wheel + Boss

Hai struggling to fit my wheel + boss cause there is a ring that sits inside the boss and it doesnt sit flush so the 6 screws that go though the wheel dont reach the boss itself

Wondering what im doing wrong

This is what it is causing cause the distance is too big

As above, my gt didn't have a ring.
