Immobiliser Issues

No idea if this is in the correct section but im sure someone will point it out if it isnt :)

My key Fob for my immobiliser is running out of power (i was stuck in tesco car park mashing my disarm button for 20 minutes!!) i heard that the batterys are non replaceable:/ is this true? if not do i need a special battery or will any do, obvs not AA lol

Most fob batteries are replacable. Just depends on alarm. Some fobs will need re syncing with the alarm like the cobra alarm series. Most alarms like toad or clifford have a stored memory in the fob so they shouldn't need re coding.
