Driveshaft removal

In having issues removing my driveshaft from the gearbox on my 96 Glanza v

I tried just pulling the driveshaft and it split the joint inside the boot

I can tell from my new shaft it has a little ring around the end, so it's obviously that causing the issue

Any help would be appreciated with my issue

Hammer And Chisel and tap it out

If you have access grab it wth both hands and yank it out, or use a bar against the grooves on it and wedge it out, they can be a bit stiff but keep at it, it will come out

As said, ideally you need to tap a bit with a hammer and chisel to knock the set ring out of place then it will come off nice and easy I work with the buggers every day! Bit of a bitch if you pop the cv joint so be careful ;)
