Faulty Odometer

My cars odometer has been faulty since i bought it. One of the numbers is halfway between 5 and 6.

Ive tried removing the cylinder but always get stuck and cant get it out.

Does anyone know of a guide, or am i better off buying a new set of clocks with the same/similar mileage.

I'm sure there's a guide on how to change the odometer in the how2's buddy, dunno if that'd work for you?
