Blitz VGTT help please

Recommended Posts

Hi guys as above I bought a blitz voice guided turbo timer off a guy on here. Anyway the TT was sold with a wiring harness for an ep82.

Plugged the harness in and then earthed it and sent a live to it.

Now the problem is.. When turning the car on or

Ignition the TT turns on. I can set a time and hear the voice etc.. Now when I turn the key to turn the car off the engine goes off and the TT goes off.

Any ideas?

I think one of your ignition wires is wrong way round, try swapping the blue and green i think it is?

The harness plugged into the ignition so I shouldn't have to take wires out of the harness surely? Or do I :p

There was a purple wire and an orange one for earth and another one that I had no clue about lol

i got the same turbo timer ill get a pic tomorrow of how i got it wired casue i had to buy two other harnesses to get it to work

No way?! Did you have a harness? Cba for that!!

Maybe not then mate, I tried it on another car wiring in by hand, and got the two wrong and it used to do that, but with a harness it should be plug and play

Pretty sure I've got both of them mate. As the guy said the full ep82 harness is there. Did you just plug and play then? Obviously earthed and wired into a live but that's it? Didn't need to wire into handbrake or anything? Did you have no spare wires then that are unused?

it was pretty much plug n play but i had to cut three wires on the harness so two are not in use one one is i'll get a pic or a vid to explain it

In fact, if you don't use the handbrake feature do you not need to ground that wire out? Im sure it works as though the handbrakes grounded when on, so if the wire aint connected, no ground?

I would advise wiring to handbrake sooner rather than later though.

Yh exactly makes sense! Only thing is I have no idea which wire is needed to wire to the handbrake or ground it lol
