Taggy
I want to take out my gearbox while my engine is still in, i have removed it loads of times but always with the whole engine out, do i just undo the rear engine mount, the right side one and then unscrew the 10 or so bolts on the bell housing and it should slide off? Gearbox is on its last legs and I need to change it for when i start going on track, it tends to be quite difficult to take out of 1st and 2nd when you boot it for some reason and also all the gears are crunchy, i think the gearbox is the only original thing left of my old car lol and its finally about to give up! morgey
Yeah thats pretty much it, obviously remember to remove everything else attached aswel, unbolt the clutch slave cylinder, starter, cables shafts you might nee to slacken off the other bolt or the nutd on the other mount to give you a bit of movement minimising stress on the rubbers on said mount Edited January 29, 2013 by morgey
