EP91_STARLET
I'm half way through buying my glanza body kit and need to remove the side strips from my starlet SR to make it more glanza like, any ideas on how they come off and what it looks like underneath? Thanks in advance. Tom
morgey
They are just glued on, get an old bank card and wedge it underneath and cut through the felty glue stuff and pull them slowly, Afterwards get some tar and glue remover to clean it all up, may need a polish or quick buff etc They are exactly the same as V's underneath
Amjad
Hairdryer and patience to pull them off, and either petrol and tar remover to get the glue off. Toffee wheels are supposed to be good too
EP91_STARLET
Thanks a lot guys will it remove the paint at all or will it leave any kind of permanent mark?
Amjad
Only if you don't heat up the area well and if you do it quickly If the glue goes soft and peels away gently you're doing it right
EP91_STARLET
Heat gun it is. Okay thanks man
morgey
Becareful with a heat gun you could overheat the paint, a hair dryer would be better as it wont be as hot
Amjad
As above
