melon Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 I've done two sets of indicators. Best bet is to strip them down and put them in the oven- less than 10 mins at low temp- 30-50 degrees. I recommend you sit right next to the oven to watch them When they start to feel soft you can gently start easing the lense off. Be VERY careful doing this because the glue is some strong shit and you'll crack the lense if you try force it. If theyre not ready, put them back in the oven. Once the lense is off obv pull out the orange and then scrape all the glue out- this takes agesssss, but you wont get a good seal on them again if you dont get it all out. I just have orange bulbs in mine- no need to chrome, theyre plenty bright enough Hope this helps! - there's a guide on TGTT on how to do this by SimonLeeds if you need any more pointers.
