jordan walker
Im at my whits end with it now basicaly i took my car off the road for a couple of weeks and put alot of parts on it zisco ramhorn mani and zisco decat (both mild steel) been two of them expecting to get rid of the problems with the autobahn 88 mani and decat but when i put them on it was still fucking blowing from somewhere around the mani i think its from somewhere near the edge of the head/corner of the mani on the left hand side then yesterday when i was driving home the blow got stupid loud and i lost all boost when i got home i noticed that the turbo had ratled the nuts loose out of it so the mani slash turbo was loose When i tightened it up earlyer i noticed theat the mesh on the turbo had dissapeared so now i dont know what the fuck to do i dont know weather its stopped boosting because the turbos chewed up all the mesh and shit itself! What do you guys recon? Socks
Things to do or check... 1, The Heads Crack on the right hand side (nearest distributor) check yours isnt cracked! 2, Did you use a new gasket? 3, A Thin Smear of Exhaust Paste is a wise move to help seal... 4, Loctite any nuts and bolts is a wise move! Stops them coming loose! I Myself have had to do this on my ct9 setup! 5, Check for cracks on welds of the manifold (Black Exhaust Sutt will be visible)
steve-gers
Yeah loctite them but make sure its the high temp stuff you use.
Glanza-Ben
I had this with a few manifold gaskets then in the end got a genuine gasket and went halfods and got loc tite high temp copper gasket sealant and put that on the manifold gaskets head and mani side and now is spot on with no blows and the sealant ain't even got a tan from the heat and I would say loctight the bolts for the turbo to manifold if its came that loose it will loose boost

Idrees
What gasket did you use, was it a genuine steel one? You don't need any paste on new gaskets.
StuDoc 72
Dont use any paste on the system before the turbo the last thing you want is paste going through your turbo then it will shit itself. Like iddy said new steel gaskets and give all the mating faces a good rub down with emery paper get them nice and smooth. Also aswell as loc tite use spring washers helps to keep them tight and give you a bit of extra pressure on the surfaces and will last longer.
