Dan_Henderson
hi lads just received my corolla inlet in the post and its a bare inlet, what else will i need apart from a new gasket? can i transfer my TB to the corolla inlet?
FreedomCore
I used my n/a tb on a Glanza inlet so i wouldnt see why not. And i dont think i used anything other than abit of silicone hose to replace the old one that comes out the rocker.

FreedomCore
Yeah worked a treat. The car feels a bit more responsive. Or that could just be me. Wasnt hard to install either. Hardest part is reaching some of the nuts. Edited February 25, 2013 by FreedomCore
Billy SR
nothing man, but i had the n/a throttle cable holder welded to the corolla throttle cable holder, although i'm sure there's a way around it with a certain washer or something.
rmsnoel
U just need alittle more vacumm pipe for the map sensor. Use your standard throttle.bodyAttach the earth wire to the throttlebody as youll notice it doesnt fit on the corolla manifold. Use gasket seal as these manifolds dont seal great even with new gaskets. Glanza manifolds are only good from 5000rpm+... rmsnoel
Did u get the rubber holder thing for the throttle cable. You have to takeup the slack in the cable to keep yor throttle crisp n responsive. View photo in my build thread
Dan_Henderson
Yeah I got the rubber bit mate, cheers
rmsnoel
Man if its not fitted yet would u mind measuring the opening for me. Im making an adapter to fit a 50mm throttlebody and it would save me removing mine If u offset your rubber piece it will reduce the slack in the cable caused by fitting a rolla manifold
Dan_Henderson
how do you offset the rubber peice?ill measure now
Dan_Henderson
Are these te measurements you needed?
rmsnoel
The metal plate that.holds the throttle body, I want to know if the big hole is 45mm or 43mm or 47mm. Yiu offset the bush,by cut away 1mm of rubber from ome side. Oil or wd40 on a hacksaw or bread knife does the job. Take a look at the photo on my build.thread to see what I mean
Dan_Henderson
I'll measure tonight when I'm home

rmsnoel
Thanks lad thats great. Looks like it will be handy to fit a 50mm throttlebody if I use a little spacer
Dan_Henderson
No worries mate
Dan_Henderson
Ok lads I've fitted it but its idling high around 2.5k and when I clutch in the revs don't drop quickly
Turbo Goose
Does the idle drop after a while? I know mine starts at 2k for around 5 mins then drops to 1k. Maybe adjust the idle screw or I've heard some people speak of a sticky idle control valve?
morgey
Something not sealed properly, missing vacuum line maybe?
Dan_Henderson
Found the problem, the rubber peice that seals te throttle cable had ame loose and got jammed under the cable and round throttle part leaving the throttle on abit
