So I decided to have a crack at it and I'm not 100% sure if I'm doing it right.

Is that enough or to much?

I'm just going for a smooth look with no rough casting marks left in.

No where near to be fair bud and is best left to the very experienced or a specialist tbh, as the chambers should be balenced to give even flow. to give you an idea

Sorry just noticed you said your going for no cast marks and mild smooth, in which case the port should feel nice and smooth with no lumps or rough burs left, so id say yours is almost there realy :)

Yeah I'd expect you need them really. Are you running uprated valve springs to? I've been looking for some but can't find them.

Been looking in to high lift cams as well but they seem a lot of work.

What tooling are you using?



I wouldn't advise the intake side is smoothed, this causes the fuel to drop out of the air as there is no swirl effect which helps atomize the fuel droplets. Get something like a 140 grit flap wheel in the port once you have finished removing material, this will give a rough surface to help create a swirl effect to ensure you don't lose power. I would also recommend at looking at the intake manifold to do a little work on.

I was planning on getting a zisco or race tech mani any way, the standard ones dog ugly.

I'm using a flapper bar in a air gun, it's like a flap wheel but with a polishers twist lol. I'm using 100 grit paper to rip it out and smooth it in, it's constantly rotating so will always leave a swirled rough surface.

Yes bud i am, i have cruise valve springs, 265 billet cams and a custom intake the same as the wepr demo car uses. My head was all done profesionaly by a head speacialist.
