AdamB Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 The 4EFTE crank is marked 4ET, where as the N/A is marked 4E I believe.Pistons, am not too sure on as I've never seen an N/A set, but the turbo ones have a slight dish to them.The heads are the same apart from the valve springs. Quote
Flaminsam Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 The pistons on the na are built up on the crown to make the combustion chamber smaller to give it higher compression I believe. I do believe the jdm na engines have flat topped pistons? Quote

AdamB Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Has it got the turbo oil feed on it?On the turbo engines there is the centre bolt and 3 smaller nuts which hold the oil filter housing in place. The N/A ones just have the centre bolt, it is possible to swap them over but an oil feed for the turbo would have to be taken from another place. Quote

rmsnoel Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 All cranks are stamped fte all heads are the.same just later uk ones have a waterway blocked and a 4efte block has 3 holes around.the oil filter area instead of one bug thingy in the middle. Fte pistons are dished 5efe pistons are nearly flat, fhe pistons have abit of a bump and 4efe pistons have a huge bump. 4efe conrods are skinny- but so are glanza conrods.
