Engine code 31 & 52

Have eml light on my glanza and doing a diagnostic it comes up code 31 which is map and 52 which is knock sensor . Il replace the knock sensor but what do I do about code 31 or are they linked ???

Replace the map sensor?

Although normally the car will run like ass with a faulty map sensor

There's only one single wire running to the knock sensor. Check that's not damaged before replacing the sensor.

The knock sensor is damaged I put it on and it was my brothers old one that he replaced I didn't know - I've recently put a fcd on would that be anything to do with code 31 ?

you cut the wire for the map sensor to fit a fcd, so possibly

The fcd is working as it should though !?

could be loose connection, or cutting the map sensor would stop fuel cut too

does the car run like ass?

Yea cars running okay can be a bit juddery at times but drives fine other than that

Other people say code 31 is vaccum sensor where is that ????

I think in your case 31 means that you are at the edge of boost cut.

Adjust the boost a bit lower, erase errors and try again.

I've sorted code 31 I'm only running 0.8 boost it doesn't go any higher I re connected the wires and took the terminals off the battery and the code was clear took the car out tested it again and just came up code 52
