Heat wrap... :)

Would it have a bad effect If I was to heat wrap my intercooler pipe coming off the inlet manifold?i don't really like the chrome piping.. Lol

You dont want to heat wrap it, you want reflective tape! Heat wrap is designed to contain heat within. Where as relfective tape will push heat away from the component which is ideal for cars with high under bonnet temps where this can affect the intake air charge temps.

Mmm it does, there was a guy who did a test on it using a digital thermometer in different engine bay locations, makes for a good read I'll see if I can find it.

Check my build (not updated in ages),. but I've wrapped mine in heat wrap, not only does it keep heat in exhausts, but also stops heat transfering from the bay into the pipe Works both ways, not just to keep heat in, but keeps it out too!
