morgey Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Its true toyota did it with the 4AGE's as well, but if your not revving the tits off of it i wouldn't worry. 4ages are ok on stock rev limits 8400rpm(ish) if i want to rev more i want to put shot peened silver top rods or forged aftermarket rods in.As ryan said seems the ringlands on the pistons would usually go first.
