Hi/lo boost bypass

My hi and lo boost has been bypassed but im confused on if its been looped how it should, i might just being a bit of a noob but how its been shown on other forums there are metal pipes running to the left hand side of the rocker cover, where as mine has none? I will take a picture now so someone can enlighten me hopefully lol

Looks like you have a hks actuator anyway bud and gt's didn't have high low anyway correct me if I'm wrong anyone what boost are you running bud ?

I have the hi/lo boost button and light on the dash.. And yes im running hks actuator, running 0.7 bar as fuel cuts at 0.8 need a new ecu

I have a whistling noise coming from the exhaust and need to check for leaks so i was going to start with that first as i noticed jts different on most peoples

Would i not hear it blowing from there? Or do u mean inlet mani

Exhaust mani if its only a little bit it will whistle but saying that whistling will be inter cooler related.

Its a weird one i will get it check over :-) is the lamba sensor on decat two wires do you know? As theres no wires going to it but theres two random wires in my bay

Whistling is a boost leak or fuked comp fins.

One wire lambda on our cars bud if there's nothing going to yours it must use loads of fuel ?

Pics speak a thousand words mate show us said wires comp fins on the turbo mate if it has play that may hit the side of the compressor inside the turbo whip the air filter off and see for side to side play and up and down play

These are the two wires with plug attached

And heres the exhaust one sensor is in as u can see then there is one at the bottom with nothing on? Ill get a better pic if needed

Top one is the only one you need to worry about bottom one may be a temp sensor

I'm not to sure If my v was with me I'd have a look for you some one will no. could be anything why it uses loads of fuel could just need a service the list is endless bud

Ive gave it a service but need to redo the oil as i used 5/30w fully symp and the car is disagreeing with it

I also need to gap my iridium plugs as it was misfiring, ive had to put old plugs back in

The plug where the wires go to? Is it right beside the plug where the lambda sensor goes? If so its a plug for the A/C and if its been removed then thats your explanation.

I use 10w40 oil mobil super 2000 best stuff ive used but everone has their own preferences.

As for the comp fins if they are chipped by dirt hitting them then it will begin to whistle dont worry though its more than likely a leak if you have an air filter fitted.

Just checked it does sit near the lamba sensor so thats one less worry.. Im going for 10w40 as the 5w30 has made the car run poor especially on first start up

Your boost bypass is fine, the way you have it means the solenoid and all the gubbins can be removed. This does mean the button on the dash is useless but who needs low boost anyway?

The viscosity of the oil won't really make any difference, a 5w over a 10w will provide better start up protection. But the 30 is probably a little too low and no doubt you will prob burn that off in no time! You'll be fine running a 10w40 now the weather is getting better

Im sure your decat has a pretty long crack running either side of the weld at 12 o'clock, I am on a phone though.
