the stock earths on starlets are notoriously crap,

an aftermarket earthing kit wont give you any extra power imo but will give more positive connections to electrical parts of the car etc

I've never had any hassle with the stock earth points in a gt or glanza.

Once I moved the location of the battery to the rear of the car I needed a mega earth kit just to get it to turn over.

But I would recommend a earthing kit and also a voltage stabilizer <---- popped 1 of them no dims or judders in the lights when say turning heating on

2 cheap mods ( get a earthing kit that's not just straight from battery top or is looks shit in bay)

Made a massive difference on my Civic, the standard earths were fucked, they can give dyno proven gains on Tegs too, anywhere up to 8bhp, never fitted one to a starlet though. (That's with the voltage stabilisers by the way)
