rkane
MOT due next month.Got a slight oil leak which I think is the crank seal. And my flexi pipe has burst.Anyone got part number for the OEM crank seal and alternator belt? And anywhere to buy a replacement flexi? Also what oil do people reccomend? A L 3 X
For the crank seal ask Idrees mate, same for alt belt. Flexi in the exhaust? Think your best taking it to an exhaust shop mate? I use a decent 10W-40 semi synth for non forged but other people will say different
DavidAshton
Be prepared to take your pants down for the crank seal. Also check its not your sump seal first. I though mine had gone, turned out it was sump leaking!
StuDoc 72
Oil seal isnt a fail mate unless its pissing out n the car cant be driven. As above flexi brake pipe or exhaust? If it brake pipe jus get a flexi off someone who is breaking to keep it cheap. If not then just a motorfactors will prob be the same one on any starlet.Like above make sure leak isnt sump.I use 10w40 mobil super 2000 quality and cheap. Everyone has their own preferance.
