gaz
Its compressor surge pal, basically caused by air returning over the turbo blades instead of being vented, Some dump valves will still allow it to do it anyway mate, just leave it and enjoy it haha
turbo_time
so im guessing theres no real danager to my turbo then ? surely if the air passes back through the blades it slows the spin up thus affecting performance ? ;)
Glanza_Ragger
so im guessing theres no real danager to my turbo then ? surely if the air passes back through the blades it slows the spin up thus affecting performance ? ;)It doesnt affect spooling at all.Its only when you let off the throttle, not all the pressure will be dumped, so the only way it can go is back through the turbo..Hench compressor surge / turbo chop etcIt will allways affect the turbo to a small degree, but theres not much you can do about it.Play with youre bov spring tension and thats basically all you can do.
