novaluke
Hi does a 96 spec steering wheel need one of these between the steering and the shaft so to work the indicators? Recently i fitted a 96 spec steering wheel and i noticed that there is a space between the steering and the shaft and the indicators are not working.
WallaceGlanza
No, that's for the airbag (and horn) on later models which changed the type of detonation system it uses for the airbag. The '96 has a brass ring with contact pin for the horn. The indicators are self cancelled by a small tab which locates on a plastic grey ring on the steering column, it's probably just not lined up. novaluke
When i removed the steering wheel i found this What im seeing is that there is a little gap between steering and it so that's why its not switch of the indicator. Note i had a different steering wheel, do i have to change this one? Should this be flash or a little out?
