lee0100 Posted July 17, 2013 Share Posted July 17, 2013 hi, ive just changed my turbo on my starlet gt because it was smoking put it all back together started it up and sounded alot louder, took it for a test drive and the turbo doesnt boost till 4000rpm ive checked for any pipes that have come off but couldnt see any please help? mods: standard intercooler and turbohks air filterdecat with screamer + exhaust Quote Link to post Share on other sites

StuDoc 72 Posted July 17, 2013 Share Posted July 17, 2013 If its alot louder you can be pretty sure its got a leak somewhere. With it being a noisey leak this points to the mani. Ether at the head or at the turbo. Or the mani is cracked which is the least likely. Did you use new gaskets? What nuts bolts and washers did you use when bolting the turbo to the mani?
